Ingredients

  • 12 slices Stergiou Family tsoureki with Chios mastic.
  • 240 ml fresh milk.
  • 3 eggs.
  • Caramelized condensed milk.
  • Butter for frying.

Steps

  1.  In a bowl, beat the eggs with the milk.
  2. In a frying pan, add enough butter to cover the surface of the pan when melted.
  3. Dip the slices into the bowl one by one, for 2 seconds on each side, until they absorb some of the liquid but do not soak.
  4. Fry for 2-3’ on each side until golden.
  5. Serve with dulce de leche (Caramelized condensed milk). 
French toast tsoureki  with dulce de leche
